High School Cybersecurity Program Overview
Silicon Scholars is a program that happens after school. Its main goal is to teach students the basics of technology and cybersecurity, which are important skills to have in today's digital world. The program covers a wide range of topics, including computer software and hardware skills, how the internet works, and cybersecurity. The program focuses on learning by doing, with interactive lessons and real-life situations.
Who We Serve: The program is open to students in grades 9-12 who are interested in learning about technology and cybersecurity.
Duration: Each program lasts for a period of five weeks. During this time, there will be a physical lab session held once a week, lasting for 90 minutes. The educational part of the program will happen online, and students can finish it at their convenience before each lab session.
Class Structure: The classes are taught by skilled teachers and consist of a combination of lectures, practical activities, and group assignments. The main emphasis is on hands-on learning that takes place in person. Students will have the chance to apply their newly acquired skills in various projects and simulations. They will also have access to a modern remote laboratory and cyber range, which allows them to safely explore hacking networks, systems, and computers. To ensure personalized attention, we intentionally limit the class size.
